Surrounded by a cloud of witnesses, individuals like Abel, Enoch, Noah, Abraham, Mose, David and…, who testify to the transformative power of faith, we are reminded of the rich heritage we inherit. Their lives serve as a compelling evidence urging us to follow Jesus, the author and finisher of faith.

 

Lay Aside Every Weight:

Recognizing our spiritual essence, we understand that the weight we carry is often rooted in our attachment to the physical world. This connection can hinder our sensitivity to our spirit. Let us intentionally shed the unnecessary burdens, freeing our souls to align more closely with our spiritual identity.

 

Sin Which Easily Besets Us:

The subtle sin that easily entangles us is the acceptance of guilt, a result of dwelling in sin consciousness. Rejecting the truth of Christ's redemptive work can lead to a life of confusion and failure. Let us stand firm, embracing the reality that in Christ, there is now no condemnation.

 

Run with Patience the Race:

Every one of us is called to run a unique race, a journey filled with the joy set before us by our Heavenly Father. Aligning with this joy, which is in His Word, we acknowledge our origin, responsibility, authority, and identity in the Father. Our race is empowered by fixing our gaze on Jesus, liberating us from the gravitational pull of materialism and guiding us to communion with the Father.

 

The theme for this year is clear – looking unto Jesus. As we fix our vision, imagination, beliefs, hearing, and love on Him, we are crowned to reign, to succeed, and to overcome. Our journey in 2024 is a call to ascend above the material spheres, redirecting our focus to our true origin in the Father.

May this year be a manifestation of the joy of the lord as we keep our eyes fixed on Him.
